  • Tiles, Mutina, Italy, 2025

Dintorni is a collection of ceramic tiles designed around the iconic 20 × 20 cm format. In creating Dintorni, I set out to represent worlds that have no connection to each other except for their very estrangement, my goal was to explore the edges of what I know and give shape to what I had yet to discover, because at any moment, you can see something new – something different from what you’ve seen before.

    The collection features several variations:
-Scale, Bandiere and Dama, three geometric patterns whose colour combinations create delicate optical effects. Scale is an interlocking arrangement of steps, Bandiere a sequence of small triangles, and Dama a ceramic interpretation of a chessboard. They can be composed together and form different effects depending on the direction in which they are place.
-Isola, a series of ten metaphysical depcitions (sold exclusively together) create a distant place —both an escape and a refuge. Each scene appears to interact with the others through an invitation to movement (ascents, descents), yet without leading to a final destination.
-Raccordo, a glossy ceramic profile availble in Nero or Caramel. This element has multiple functions: when placed in one direction, it serves as a transition between flooring and wall covering; when rotated, it can be used as a finishing edge for a boiserie or simply as a small shelf to hold postcards or miniature objects.

    • Five solid colours, Azzurro, Verde Chiaro, Blu, Terracotta and Verde Scuro, which can be freely paired with pattern, either in tone or in contrast.
